Kitchen Planning

“The kitchen is the Heart of the Home”

In my home the kitchen is the most important room in the house, with my busy working lifestyle and young family, there is never a dull day. From a hectic morning trying to get ready for work and getting my daughter ready for nursery, to coming home after a hard day to put the kettle on and prepare dinner, there is never a dull moment. In my house we love stir-fry’s, curries, salads, pizza’s, pasta’s and having the family round on Sunday afternoon for a roast dinner. It’s important that the modern kitchen can put up with the stresses of day to day activity’s but also work effectively and efficiently all year round.

“There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.”

Of course, the design plays a huge part in making our lifestyle’s enjoyable and convenient, and understanding that every home is different and requires a fresh approach is also important. From a busy country family kitchen that needs to be hard wearing and robust to a sleek ultra-modern kitchen, designed for hosting cock-tail evenings in the city, we will always work with the view to provide a design and end product that fits the requirements of our customers.

“Idea’s come from curiosity”

The initial consultation with our designer is where the project begins. Finding out the needs and wishes of our customers is the first step. Whether we are looking at a plan of an extension or measurements scribbled on a piece of paper, we can get an idea of the task ahead. A trip to your home or site to get a feel for the room and to create a detailed plan is the next step. We can talk about the kitchens we can offer, colour schemes, worktops, appliances and design ideas that will work within the room. Then we can create a detailed CAD drawing of the proposed kitchen, work together to finalise the design, then talk about the logistics of the project. We have the added benefits of working closely with all the required tradesman to help bring the concept to life. Depending on the complexities of the design, as soon as the kitchen is ordered, it normally takes about 6 weeks for delivery, which is plenty of time to get the canvas ready.
